Awful service - We came to Yoko for valentines dinner this evening as we had previously eaten here and had fantastic food. The food this evening was amazing , however, the poor service... read more by staff left a bad taste on the experience. We waited over 35 minutes for our plates to be cleared, while what appeared to be a manager had to call staff over on several occasions to tell them to tend to customers, even still, no one was in a great rush to serve. We had every intention of finishing our evening off with dessert, but after 35 minutes of waiting on someone to even clear the table we decided we wouldn't want to spend any more time or money in the premise, very disappointing ending to a lovely meal.

14 January 2023Not value for money! - Had an evening meal before the cinema because it's in the same complex. First thing I will say is it's cold but everywhere these days is cold. The toilets are... read more particularly cold. We had a sharing starter, 2 mains, a pint of lager, a soft drink, pot of tea and a bottle of wine. £81 pounds. My peppered chicken was not good, too much coating on the chicken. Duck pancake starter was nice. Other dish was a seafood hotpot which was good. The ambience is constantly annoyed by staff doing the Happy birthday thing but that's been going on for years, so if it's your birthday happy days. It's always busy so must be doing something right. But I would rather go elsewhere. Staff were fine.

11 January 2023Amazing! - Hands down the nicest dining experience I’ve had in years! Myself, my partner and my 1yr old dined here last night. Baby friendly-got a lovely table at the back with... read more plenty of room for a high chair. We had 3 courses all unbelievable and extremely well presented. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

8 January 2023Overpriced - Simply overpriced and service adequate. £14,95 for a bowl of broth (spicy water) with a few noddles and bits of chicken floating in it. Had to ask for cutlery twice.... read more First visit won’t return

4 December 2022Pleasant - We had an average/good meal at Yoko.
The service was okay, took a while to place the order. The drinks arrived and the cocktail had zero taste to... read more it. We were able to return this, and the cost was removed from the bill which was good.
The food arrived suspiciously fast. We had barely placed the order when the food arrived. I'm guessing most of the dishes are pre-cooked to an extent.
We haven't eaten here in a number of years; not sure we would look to return in a hurry.martinmma26

12 November 2022First impressions were good, restaurant was busy but there were NO dirty empty tables. We hadn't booked but we're soon found a table. Friendly, efficient young server, who took things at... read more our pace ( course by course). Drinks prices were in our opinion a tad high. Food, plenty of choice and when it came out looked and tasted good, if there were to be a criticism the portion sizes were too large ( observed many plates going into kitchen still piled with food).
We will certainly be returning and recommending, wish they'd open a second branch in Coleraine Town Centre.Sleepingtigress
